Client: Personal Project
Goal: Design a series of posters focusing on American consumerism and visually inspired by Russian Constructivism.
Solution: The fifteen posters (three samples are shown here) are divided into three groups of five, with each group focusing on a specific notion of mass production and consumer behavior dealing with the following concepts – language, utility, and labor. The posters explore the contrasts between the idealist sentiments expounded by the messages of Russian Constructivist artists and the modern American consumer attitudes and habits, bringing into focus the different ways in which the two societies approach life through the use of the basic goods that surround them.
